Buy an AppleCare plan in Settings
- On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open Settings.
- Go to General > About.
- Tap AppleCare+ Coverage Available. If you don't see AppleCare+ Coverage Available, check to make sure that your device is eligible.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your purchase. You can see the price of the AppleCare plan when you follow these steps.

- In most countries and regions, you can buy AppleCare+ within 60 days of your device purchase. In Japan, you can buy AppleCare+ within 30 days of your device purchase.
- In some countries and regions, you can buy an AppleCare Protection Plan within 1 year of your purchase of an eligible Mac, Apple TV, or other device.

To locate a quality replacement battery vendor for a specific Apple product if they are
not available through the Apple Store online, may require use of your product serial
number and a call to the Apple Store to ask (to be sure they don't have one) even if
you cannot find one in the online store itself. If the computer has a built-in battery, it
may be serviced by an independent authorized Apple service provider. In some cases
you may find they could help locate a battery for older gear; perhaps not original Apple.
If your computer is newer than the 2009 model year, it would likely have a built-in battery.

Other suppliers, depending on your location in the global sense, can vary. If the MB/Pro
isn't too old, you may be able to find a quality replacement from OWC macsales.com or
other online reputable source. There are other suppliers who offer various items and not
all of them are of sufficient quality to be considered a good deal. Some aren't official, other
sources may have high spec quality that meets or exceeds the Apple original vendor spec.

So if you are not in the US or Canada, your options may vary. A quality reputable vendor
should be able to offer a one-year standard guarantee or warranty. The actual use duration
may vary, as per 'cycles' and how much you rely on the battery, how it gets recharged, or
if you let the computer run the battery flat dead; these can make for poor battery life.
In most cases, you could search to see what may be out there, and then check elsewhere to
see if the product or the vendor has a good reputation. Some online resellers are short-term
and may disappear and not be available for any helpful replacement under warranty.
